I'm actually happy about the way they're doing it for TV. It'll be interesting to see if they change the nature of the big reveal at the end. But if it's ok with King, it's ok with me.

Maybe a simulataneous tv/net/cinema release would be the best way to do it. The concept of seeing the finale in theatres is certainly novel enough to draw audiences, but it's weakness is that it's appealing to a niche audience of fans. The cinemagoers who aren't up to speed with Breaking Bad won't pay to see it, so there's a limit to the success of a cinema run. Still, it was a nice idea.

It would only work if it were also simultaneously broadcast on television. It would be a huge betrayal to force loyal fans of the show to get a babysitter and spend $15 a head to watch the finale.

If fans had the option to watch the finale in a theater with other loyal fans, that could be a lot of fun. But to force them? No.

Yeah, me too. I've actually gotten really wrapped up in the whole thing. It's been a long time since there's been a sci-fi/horror movie that I've gotten really excited about. Gillis gave me most of my teenage years as a super fan.

I actually did have a look at that - love the Alien/The Thing vibe. Always been a big fan of practical effects, especially Alec Gillis's work.

Very good article, i love me that authentic Aussie Hip Hop, Funkoars are one of my favourite groups but i know that the "real" hip hop heads have trouble getting behind anything that doesn't sample from old vinyl records and use traditional beats, it's all softcock stuff to them and it's problematic, Hip Hop is about innovation and diversity and remaining in a rigid state because you don't want mainstream influences in the genre does the culture a disservice. I don't despise 360 for his success, but i understand why people wouldn't think him as true hip hop, but there's always going to be two types of Hip Hop, the more mainstream fare shown on TV and radio and the more underground stuff you'll hear on Triple J or Rage, both have merit in my opinion.
